Mary Bushong - Tenor Horn
Mary started her association with Beck’s Band the summer of 2020. She was invited to sit in on a rehearsal by a former student. It was such an honor and sense of pride to be asked to join the group by her former student.
Mary holds a B.M in Music Education from Mansfield University, a M.A. in Music Education from Rowan University, and a Ph.D. in Music Education from Temple University. Although her main instrument of concentration is the trombone, she plays the tenor horn in Beck’s Band. Currently Mary teaches beginning band in the Washington Township School District in Sewell, NJ. She also sings in her church choir.
In her free time Mary likes to be outdoors, whether it is a bicycle ride, a hike on a trail, or
a walk with her dog.
